This is about our perception levels ! See, when in our dream, the 'we' in the dream seems very much real and alive as also the other people in our dream (we even meet dead people known to us) ! Now, how to be very sure, that this is again not a dream ! ?

Like you said perception levels, it's more about consciousnes levels. Some people are more conscious than others.
Consciousness levels can be hightened by meditation.
Sombody with a hightened consciousness is in better position to
reply this question then any of us.

A good question.... unfortunately not dealt with seriously enough by anyone.
Obviously, if it is a dream, we wouldn't know while we are still dreaming, meaning as we are living.... we may know only when we can get out of this life ..... it is also not clear what we would be able to do then with the knowledge that all our life we assumed we were living for real but in fact it was only an illusion.
It would therefore be wise to just live our dream as fully as possible without worrying about its reality, because that worry is of no avail to us as of now.
And it would be wiser for us to assume that our life is only a dream... so that we can enjoy the positives and ignore the negatives, winner both ways.

I figure I am alive by my sence of touch. There is a very real feeling when you feel a living thing, (mom, cat, boyfriend ect.) Sure you can hear things, see things, and sometimes even smell things inyour dream, but touch is never the same unless you are dreaming about blankets.

We were alive in the past
We are alive at the moment and will always be alive in the future
The basic instinct in life is that we will always be alive at all times
Every form of life is seeking to be immortal on Earth
Only Human beings can attain the state of Immortality and remain alive forever

In a very real sense our waking lives are much like dreams in that most people are throughly encumbered by illusions, delusions and great ignorance. Therefore, people go through their lives acting and reacting to what they imagine reality to be.
True living is to know yourself without illusion. However, by any biological measure, we are alive.

Here the real question is what is reality.
The answer very much depends on that
Reality is a perception which we hold.
We believe in some rules.Like the
rules of physics.When we see something
which obeys these rules we hold them as real.
