If you have auto insurance. I would recommend that you take out car rental in your insurance policy. It is only a few more dollars a month and comes in handy if you wreck your car. Or, if you have some other covered claim where shop time is required. If your car has an extended warranty, then car rental may be included. Your only other options are to ask the garage if they can arrange something for you. Or, buy yourself a cheap car (eg. $200) and sell it again when your car is fixed. You can rent a car, but that will be expensive. If you rent one, shop around, look on the internet and compare prices. You may have a small local car rental service that doesn't advertise much, so they can carry the savings onto the customer. Who knows, the garage may have a rental service they go through. Some garages can rent one for you and add that amount to your bill.
These are just some ideas to throw around. Just remember the only stupid question is the one you never ask.

Ask the service rep if they have that provision. Most shops don't. It is a very good shop, or maybe even a dealer that does have loaners.
Most will offer shuttle service of some degree, or recommend that you rent a car.
