can anyone tell me if they got a period and a negative pt result but had pregnancy symptoms ended up being pre

A positive result depends on WHEN you do the test, some people like myself have to be at least 6 weeks pregnant before they get a positive reading.
If you had your period AND a negative pregnancy test then more than likely your not pregnant, some times when we WANT to be pregnant, symptoms will appear but not really exist.
And also, a lot of pregnancy symptoms are ALSO symptoms of getting or having your period.
If you are pregnant you WILL find out soon enough!

I'm not sure what you mean by negative pt result, but if you are referring to the test for pregnacy taken at a Dr's office, I learned that it is a test of hormone levels. You can have a low result really early and it makes you wonder if you are pregnant when you are told it is a very low level of testing. The opposite is also true. You can have a high test meaning your are very pregnant, when in truth a miscarry could have taken place. Back in the years, no one even obtained an appt with the doctor until two periods were missed, at least that is what my ob/gyn specialist required. Times have made things very confusing for patients who were not trained in these matters.

Well, I have missed my period over three weeks now,and a negative hpt also, so I'm not sure, I believe anything is possible, if you want a more conclusive answer,get a blood test from your doc!

I would say you are NOT pregnant. You are stressing yourself out believing you might be, which is causing symptoms.
