It depends on who and how one is looking at a certain situation. What some people deem self-defense, may be considered aggravated assault by another, such as a police officer ... for example. There's a very fine line between self-defense and aggravated assault. If a person hits back ... it's self-defense, but, if they beat the ever-lovin' crap outta the person that hit them first ... that's aggravated assault.

Women are the gentler sex in most circumstances.

Although, there are many abusive women out there; a man is usually bigger and can take it. Also, since the USA society is based off a patriotical society, a man is expected to take responsability and be more mature than the woman ... but this was before the 50's when women were oppressed.

Dunno know if men are still held to acheive more ... it may be that women are oppressing men now.

It's a matter of perception. Men are perceived as stronger and being more aggressive. But like all perceptions they can change. My friends mom is 6'3" and can sling 100 pound sacks of feed around like you or I carry carry a bag of grocery's. What do you think they would call it if she got ticked and whacked somebody desperately needing an attitude adjustment? She's about the only women that I behave around. God Bless all farm girls.
