i need to write a valentine poem for a veteran and i really need help on getting started. it has to be 8 lines or more. has to rhyme and i am thinking for the pattern to be AABB. any ideas on how you could help me?

Just think of the first thing that comes to your mind, it doesnt matter if it's 'good' or not (even though I think that all art and poetry is good) they will like it anyway.

You could start with something like:
"I'm not quite sure what to say
But happy valentines day!"

To stay away from teary mope
I don't remember how you looked,
The effort in your days pride you took.

Now for the next four, choose the same rhyme scheme, you know, &&**, either the same or different, and connect the unfinished statements.
