-Sorry! I should add that I do take a break every few months, usually every 2-3.

No, you don't have to worry about that. From the day that you first started taking the pill your body has not ovulated, and starting to take it continuously will not make you suddenly start to ovulate. So you are safe from pregnancy!

However, there are other health risks with taking the pill continuously. It worries me that you say you've taken it for a year without a break. Most doctors agree that you should have a period at least 3 or 4 times a year to flush you body out. Not sure what your health reason is, but if I were you I'd take a break from the pills every 4 months or so to give you body a chance to expel the blood that has been built up.

No, your body doesnt build up a tolerance to hormones.
