People do it all the time on TV, I was just wondering if it would actually be possible in real life...

travel to iraq and fake your death there. no one would bother to go check if you are really one of the hundreds that get killed everyday.

Did you know that in the future the wealthy could be declared dead for tax purposes. I have always found the hardest part of faking my own death was holding my breath for days at a time. The smelly part can be handled easily if you eat enough beans. If there is an autopsy, that can be a royal pain, especially the part where they take your brain out an weigh it. Likewise the embalming fluid burns when they replace your blood.

You plan a vacation trip, never to come back. Then you have someone at your new location call home on your behalf (possibly slipping them some cash for incentive), informing someone of your death. I guess you would have to also make-up some story about what happened to your body, like you fell off the ship of the cruise that you were on and your body was lost at sea.

i knew a guy who got a fake obituary in the paper and had a friend come to deliver it to us. this one girl who acted all the time like she hated him started to cry, and after the shock we were all trying to get over like 15 minutes later he walked though the door. needless to say we were all amazed and the crying chick got so angry she never talked to him again... i thought it was funny.
