He loves greenday, avenged sevenfold, sum 41 and stuff like that. I want to make him a CD to show him how special and amazing he is to me. We've been together for almost 10 months. Thank you for your help.

How old r u? I'm only asking because making a CD isnt enough to make your significant other happy, thats something he can do on his own!!!
Do something that stands out!!! Spontaneity is the key!!!

If you want to put something on there that he will really like, get "falling away with you" by muse, also if he's into pop rock like green day, he probably likes Breaking benjamin, and I would put "rain" on there by them, it's a softer song, but it's sweet. Also, it depends on what mood you want to set with the cd, if it's softer or harder....I would also suggest "The Dolphins Cry" by Live, it's a great song, and it's kind of love themed...I'm sure that he would like some system of a down, not really love songs, but chop suey and Hypnotize are good songs, I'd throw some Third Eye blind on there too, maybe "deep inside of you".
Overally, pick some songs that are something new to him that he will want to listen to for a while, not stuff he already knows. And if you listen to these songs and want some other suggestions, let me know.

You have to put Corrine Bailey Rae- Just like a Star, Mary J Blige- Be Without You, Robin Thicke- Lost Without You, Radiohead-Creep (Acoustic), James Blunt- Your Beautiful, I know this is cheesy but I secretly love this song Bryan Adams- Have Really Ever Loved A Woman, Gym Class Heroes- Cupid's Chokehold, Common feat Erykah Badu-Love of My Life, D'angelo-How Does It Feel. My boyfriend and I love the song by Janet Jackson- Anytime, Anyplace. I hope this helps. I tried to give you a list of variety. I didn't know what type you like. Good Luck!

Back in my day we had to make mix tapes. We had to fast forward and back and listen to the whole song to make sure we stopped it when it ended. And all our mixes had to be 60 or 90 minutes long, because that's how long tapes were and you didn't want to leave a bunch of empty space on a side. You kids don't know how easy you got it I tellls ya.
Also I have no idea who the f' sevenfold and sum 41 are, they sound super gay.

Hey!!!! Why not throw him a left hook w/ (antiquated) songs like "Why don't we do it in the road" by the Beatles, or "Stroking" by Clarence Carter, there's always "Don't let me down" by The Beatles, "Spank my Monkee" by Individual Me, "Hang Great Head" by gaggers, "Love is Sin' by Nuruka, "Luvee Duvee" by Dead White Herd, "I licka u like u licka me" by Fontrone's Trombone. All great Valentines Day songs and even pitch in as birthday goodies. Good Luck on your c.d.,and keep making music together. OREMOR
