you cant make him, you could ask him and perhaps explain why you would like him to stop, but unless he is ready to stop he wont, it;s never good to try and make people do things they dont want to do, or are not ready to do, as it builds resentment!
I wish you luck with this, if he truly cares for you, then he will at least give it some consideration, after all your feelings are important to

You can't, and you shouldn't try. You should get another boyfriend. Unless he HIMSELF makes the decision to quit, he will never do it. If you're with him, and he's smoking marijuana, you can be in for a terrific hassle, and accused of possession, right along with him. Leaving him is a form of respect for yourself and love for him. Sometimes the best thing to do is the one thing that hurts the most, but it has to be done anyway.
Leave him.

Well, I have never faced this problem, but I imagine like any other addiction HE has to first WANT to stop or there is really nothing you can do. Does he say he's ready to give it up? If so, then help him by finding support groups for him to attend, making sure he goes to the meetings, keeping him so busy with activities that he doesn't have a chance to think about wanting it, and just being there to support him and listen.

Sorry but, You Can't MAKE anyone do anything they do not want to.

However, you can explain your feelings about him smoking, and reasons why you do not like. Perhaps he will agree with you, perhaps not. In any case, talking it over is a first step, then if there is no resolution you'll have to decide if you still want to be with him.

You can't make anyone do anything they don't want to do. If you don't approve, then you need to get a new boyfriend. I'm not being judgemental on either side. It is what it is. He wants to smoke it, you don't like it - so there really isn't a compromise.

I would not want to be with someone who used any kind of drugs, but to answer your question you can not make him stop.

You can ask him to stop, and explain that you care about him and you don't want him to harm himself, etc., etc., but ultimately he has to be the one to make the decision to stop using drugs.

Also, look at the full picture. Does he have any other bad destructive behavior (drinking, reckless, etc.)? Is he someone that you really want to be with?

If you can get him to want to stop smoking marijuana, that would be great for his sake, but if he does not, you have a decision to make.

Don't hold yourself down with a drug user if he does not stop. You deserve better.

You can't make anyone do anything. They have free will. You could threaten to leave, or stop having sex. That might convince him it's in his best interest to quit.
