My english teacher has been acting a little funny all year. I happen to be in his advisory group as well as his class, and for a while he was the moderator of the club of which I was in charge. Well, for some reason he always pays a lot of attention to me. I'm pretty good in his class, but not a brilliant student, yet for some reason he calls on me about as much as any other two people in the class combined. He has a habit of staring in a rather creepy way at people, and it's starting to freak me out. He's about 10-12 years older than me; I don't know whether he has some sort of weird crush on me or what, since he has a girlfriend, but it's getting in the way of me concentrating in class. I had a crush on HIM last year, when he wasn't my teacher, and the seemingly excessive attention is getting awkward to a point of extreme distraction. What should I do; grit my teeth and bear through it, or 'fess up? Or am I just imagining things?

This happened to me too! It was with a science teacher who was about 8 years older and very down to earth. He paid a lot of attention to me and at first I ignored it because I've been told that I react easily to comments etc so I thought he was just getting kicks out of my reactions. During that year that he was my teacher I noticed the attention more and more so I started telling my friends who tried to help me in class by occupying me through the lessons and getting me to ignore him. The next year he wasn't my teacher anymore but I saw him all the time around the school and kinda gave in more or less to being good friends with him..more like a big brother than anything else. At the end of that year I left the school and on my signature bear he wrote something like you're a great person and I'll really miss you! Crazy huh? I decided against saying anything to a guidance officer because his whole career could have been destroyed so easily even by mentioning my concerns. In the end it wasn't so bad so I'd advise you to do your best to ignore him or try to change classes but unless you are absolutely sure that his intentions are not sincere, don't speak to another teacher about this. Hope this helps and good luck

You should see your guidance counselor and get your schedule changed. Either you're imagining things (because you used to like him and now you don't) or there's something actually going on with him. Regardless, if you're uncomfortable, it's interfering with your learning and so you need to be in a different class.

tough situation, until you get some concrete prove you cant say anything about it because you could be ruining a mans life and career...what if your wrong and he ends up getting fired and stuff even though he is innocent... i'd say bare with it but if he makes any move then you should definitely report it...

I think you should just tell him how uncomfortable you feel, maybe he'll understand. =]
