Could having multiple windows/tabs open at once cause the Internet explorer has encountered a problem error?

I have IE7 Windows XP and I have McAfee 2007 internet suite

No, there wouldnt be any problems by keeping many windows/tabs open... but one problem is that if a script on any of the windows/tabs hang, then you will forced to close all the windows ... :(

Yes, especially if you are viewing multiple sites with more than one java game or other interactive activity running.
