Have you been outside in the last couple years? Hear about all the bizzare weather related problems that keep cropping up? - more hurricanes and more powerful ones, the fact that winter in the north isn't much of a winter any more and the south are getting freak storms etc. The signs have been getting more obvious for the past 20 years and although a number of scientist have been debating it forever just recently they've all pretty much admitted that it truly is a problem that needs to be addressed pronto.
The problem up to now has been all the ignorant tards that have been in denial and haven't been doing anything to fix it - if they had their collective heads removed from their @ss ages ago the problem could be well on it's way to being rectified by now.

There still seem to be a number of uncertainties about Global Warming. One the one hand, we are told that the average mean temperature may rise by three degrees Celcius [3C] by the end of the 21st century. Another group of scientists seem to think this will happen much earlier, possibly by year 40.
Global warming is a fact, it's not going to go away and nothing we do is going to stop it. Here in UK we're experiencing the warmest winter in 90 years. Although this in itself does not prove we've heading towards higher temperatures, it's some indication of what may happen.
The ice at the North Pole is only ever about nine feet thick, so melting it completely will not take too long. Once that happens the Earth will receive more heat from the Sun because the reflective properties of the Ice Cap will have gone. Sea temperatures will rise, etc, etc.
To be totally honest about all of the above and Global Warming in general, frankly I do not give a damn. I'm 65 and am very unlikely to be around when things start to become really bad - no harvests etc.

How well did George Bush do at school?
I can imagine him a C student at the max if he did exams on a really good day and his teachers were bribed.
Which scientists are employed by the UN? Answer: It doesn't matter; none of them are mediocre.
Which independant scientists listened to by the medio and the public? Answer: AGAIN! It doesn't matter; none of them are mediocre.
Now if you had a competition to see which president rant he country worst GB might only get runner up 'cos it's in his genes to be 'less than.'
Who is the UN? It's not just an independant organisation?
United Nations lest we forget is the voice of the world on so many issues. It's the most powerful unified world organisation there is. if we are to decide between the two we're deciding between listening to a nincompoop and US. THe best, the most mediocre, the most diverse 'us' we can think of.
Even the US is unanimous on this. Global Warming is real. We don't need to be 300 ft underwater to believe it, the signs are everywhere.

Neither. It is true that we have no current experience of our current weather patterns. Then again we have only been recording the weather for about 200 years or so.
As things stand 1000's of scientists are flying all over the world burning gallons of fossil fuel and putting tons of Co2 ,So2 and No2 into the atmosphere . Consuming huge quantities of electricity to convince you, you will have to live in a cave to reverse the trend.
This will happen. You will lose all the modern benefits of current life whilst those in the scientific village will secure privileged status.
This is inevitable for those not far enough up the tree, because there are not enough resources to bring the rest of the world up to your standard of living, ergo your standard of living must drop.
In short the 'developed' world must lose 2/3rds of its wealth to allow the rest of the world to catch up. This will leave Co2 rising at its current rate. So to reverse you must lose even more and they must get less than 1/3 as good as we have it at the moment.
That's why Bush argues we should use the resources now to develop new technologies. Great theory but things like nuclear fission are on an unknown timescale. Yet we are already suffering weather extremes. No matter the extent of our involvement we can't control the weather so we are running scared.

There is no doubt that the world is warming up. However the UN and bush have no authority on the matter they are not scientists. Listen to the scientists, see the evidence and make up your own mind.
The US government has just said that global warming is "more likely" to be man made. See the article below.

Bush is a liberal and he believes in Global Warming so don't believe him. Also don't believe the UN because they are corrupt and anti USA because they want to take away all power from the USA.

I wouldn't believe anything the UN said. As far as I'm concerned, they've blown any credibility they had.
I'm undecided on global warming. I've heard evidence from both sides on the issue. Both sides make good and valid points supporting their theories. I'm more inclined to believe that the current climate is the result of a repeating weather cycle rather than a man-made catastrophe...but, like I said, I haven't made up my mind yet.
