if you got married in an asian country where divorce is not acknowledged but both you and your spouse are canadian residents, can u get a divorce?

I think you can, but a lawyer will be able to give you the ins and outs of it. If you have it, take your marriage certificate. Your marriage is recognized in Canada, so I don't see why your divorce wouldn't be.
There are free legal clinics in a number of cities and some of the social agencies for immigrants should be able to help you find one.
