We all know that Bonds has NEVER been a public appearance guy, so maybe it isn't surprising that he didn't like that clause in his new contract - but is his refusal to sign because of the "possible criminal charges" almost an admission of guilt to steroid use?

He has a chance to pass Hank Aaron in all time HRs this season - HE SHOULD make puclic appearances! And as for the possible criminal charges - if he has been clean and he is indeed innocent, why should he care if that clause is in his contract anyway?

I think it's poor form to sign a contract and then immediately start saying that parts of it are invalid.

His new contract is all the same, but the clause was added. I think as a SF Giants fan, I promote the use of that clause, I don't want Barry to screw us over in the long run. He is almost there.

Barry Lamar Bonds is as guilty as O.J. Simpson. He should suffer the same fate as Barbaro.
