i have a small mp4 device. it has no logo on it. just the words; "portable disk player". It holds bout a GB. Herez the prob...when i sync/send music files to it, it still sayz "no files". i tried other files, like pics and i can view them on it. Whats wrong with it??How do i fix it??

If i need to encode the music how do i do it??

List what file formats it supports, you can only play what it supports. So if it only plays mp4s you'll have to encode all the music on it to mp4s. Other than that read the instructions and check what folder your music is supposed to be in.
go to google.com use the search term for "mp4 to mp3" "encoder" "free" then see what comes up, read the instructions to the program and your set.
