Yes there is. Here's a story to prove it:

DUI - TENNESSEE STYLE

From the county where drunk driving is considered a sport, comes this
absolutely true story.

Recently a routine police patrol parked outside a bar in Paris,
Tennessee. After last call the officer noticed a man leaving the bar so intoxicated that he could barely walk.

The man stumbled around the parking lot for a few minutes, with the officer quietly observing. After what seemed an eternity in which he tried his keys on five different vehicles, the man managed to find his car and fall into it. He sat there for a few minutes as a number of other patrons left the bar and drove off.

Finally, he started the car, switched the wipers on and off (it was a fine, dry summer night), flicked t he blinkers on and off a couple of times, honked the horn and then switched on the lights. He moved the vehicle forward a few inches, reversed a little and then remained still for a few more minutes as some more of the other patrons' vehicles left.

At last, when his was the only car left in the parking lot, he pulled
out and drove slowly down the road.

The police officer, having waited patiently all this time, now started up his patrol car, put on the flashing lights, promptly pulled the man over and administered a breathalyzer test.

To his amazement, the breathalyzer indicated no evidence that the man had consumed any alcohol at all! Dumbfounded, the officer said, "I'll have to ask you to accompany me to the police station. This breathalyzer equipment must be broken."

"I doubt it," said the truly proud Hillbilly.
"Tonight I'm the designated decoy."

No. Once the breathalizer shows positive most states & cities require officers to get a blood test for confirmation of blood alcohol levels. At that time an attorney is pretty much useless except to plea bargain for you & try to get the ticket reduced to a lesser charge. The best thing to do is if you drink don't drive. It will save you money for attorney fees & the cost of high insurance premiums along with jail time. I have several police officers as friends & they have tried everything imaginable to get a false reading. If they can't do it it's not likely anybody else can.

First off dont drink and drive not for you,but for the sober bastards that get killed in the accidents. I'm not judging you we have all done stupid things, i got away one time by taking a mouth full of GAS ackkk and gargling it for a few seconds. The breathalyser couldn't pickup any alcohol and i had a empty bottle of NyQuil in the car. I did get away with it but it was hell on the side of the road at 3:30 in the morning going threw there tests for 2 hrs. They where pissed

The breathalyzer? Yes, suck on activated charcoal.

Unfortunately the test they administer judges reaction time, cognitive ability, balance and several physiological changes that occur in your body when under the influence of intoxicants...so no, there's no way to beat that.

If you can get a good lawyer, he can find loops that can help you beat the test even if your result comes up positive.

The breathalyzer needs to be calibrated periodically, so if a good lawyer spots that the machine wasn't calibrated within that time period, he should be able to get the judge to throw out the test saying that it's not accurate.

No but your better off refusing it, that way they dont have incriminating evidence against you. You will lose your license for 3 months anyways whether you blow or not 1st offense.I made stupid mistakes drinking and driving when i was in my early 20s. I refused everytime. Keep $20 in your wallet and call a cab it will save you headaches and money.

sucking on activated charcoal tablets can beat a alcoholic breath test. But i wouldn't advise it. your mouths going to be black as all get out and the policeman will wonder why. but there you go

There was a whole mythbusters episode about it. They tried everything humanly possible and there was no way to do it. Mints, gargling, battery under tounge ect. It's impossible. I advise you to just not drink and drive.

Not that I know of. But, Radio Shack sells a Breathalyzer key chain that you could experiment with.

Of course, don't drink and drive. That's been "proved".
I was nearly killed by a drunk driver and I don't have much sympathy for folks who insist on trying to kill people by driving when they are drunk. If you drive drunk you should be locked up.
Cheers!
