Dingdong that is more bad news. Somehow people still keep burying there heads in the sand on this as if they knew more than the leading scientists in the field do.

Yes Andy but the very likely meant better than 90 percent sure. I just want to know what is gained by denying global warming. There seems to be very solid evidence now in support of man made global warming. Shouldn't we start making some changes?

This was a very interesting story and I did read it. Pretty much it is acknowledging that global warming is "likely" a man-made problem, which by the facts is a reasonable conclusion. If you read further though you see that the panel's assertion that global warming causes stronger hurricanes is in direct conflict with some other experts in the field (a November 2006 report by the World Meterological Organization). Overall though, I feel the report and conclusions of the panel are quite clear and fairly accurate.

I don't understand why some people still deny it. The BUSH ADMINISTRATION, and Bush himself, no longer denies it. Didn't anyone watch the State of Union Address? He mentioned global warming, and the need to work toward a solution to solve the problem...are these people just that ignorant, or are they just so ideologically driven that they refuse to see it (or admit it) when their own political representatives admit their mistake. What foolish pride! The Bush administration put together a committee to look into global warming, and they concluded that global warming was REAL, and MAN-MADE! And now Bush is putting forth new legislation to combat it...finally. Only six years after the scientific community put together their own committee, and came up with same conclusion (but what do THEY know, right?). But, better late than never, I guess...let's just hope it's not TOO late.

No. thinking we've been headed for yet another Ice Age consistent with historic tendencies is what climatologists pronounced in the 70's. worldwide warming has reversed this organic cooling form, although.

Yes. Just after the Global Warming Industrial Complex starts pushing global cooling again. Just like in the 1970's. Remember that ice age? Oh...it didn't happen.

Don't you deny their voodoo science - climate scientists need TV shows, hot chix, public funding and Porsche's too!

Follow the money and you will see the light. Like the light coming from the true source of global warming: the sun.

Nope because the word "likely" is not hard scientific evidence.

For every news source that supports the claim, there are just as many debunking the myth.

The verdict is still out and too many are making their minds up based on "talk" and not factual evidence.

Actually many who believe say it is too late to do anything. So which is it, too late, or we have to do something, or cycles, or changing climate, that is what I am searching for. Not whitewashed science (myths and theories)

Just Exxon-Mobile and the Bush Administration. The rest of us already knew.

Anyone want to change their stance on the global cooling of the 70's?

It's amazing how hatred of one thing can solidify your belief of something else.
