Rich browns really bring out brown eyes, no matter what shade of brown they are. A soft lavender adds another dimension that really makes your brown eyes pop! For a more intense eyes, find deeper browns; chocolate tones and pair it with a sweep of grape across the lid for a really bold look (the darker purple still looks great with your eye color)
For eyeliner everyday go for a purple amethyst shade that contrasts but compliments. For a more dramatic look go for a topaz pearlescent in a liquid liner.
For mascara everyday use a brown topaz shade. For the more dramatic and daring eye use a purple amethyst shade

I have brown eyes too. I have found the vest colors are : brown, light silver or gold ( but not too much ) or green. Colored mascara also looks really good without any eyeshadow on brow eyes. Hope I helped

Hi nearly every colour suits brown eyes i have trouble in deciding what colour to wear as i also hve brown eyes. I have resently descovered a way to make out eyes more browner. I dont personnely think it suits me as i have very pale skin and it makes my eyes stand out to much. But if you have olive skin or darker then i think it will be fine these are what you need. Golden Brown, dark purple, Brown eyeliner and brown mascara or whatever mascara you perfer. Add a little of the brown eye shadow to the outer corner on your eye lid and then aplly the purple to the rest of the lid. The apply the eyeliner and mascara and you good to go. I think it makes my eyes look to brown as i said but you might love it. I also thing baby blue and light green is a lovely colour for our eyes. I dont really like to wear browns as i think they make my eye look bleery but than could just be me. Why not get all the shadow you can think of and then try them all on a girly night in.

I went to cosmetology school and before I didn't think any color besides brown, bronzes..etc would look good. While in school we were told brown eyes can wear ANY color of eye makeup. So I dabbled in alot of colors. But I have to say my favorite is blue! And this is someone that always wore the same brown & tan colors for years!

Well what is your race? I have brown eyes and I normally do a lot of browns and golds, but I have also pulled of pinks before and even green. I am a light skinned African American female.
With the browns, you can't go wrong no matter what shade of brown you choose.

Eyeshadow in more neutral colors gives them a more natural feel, & keeps them looking fresh & bright. Purple would look good, as would green.
I recommend not applying eyeshadow on the brow bone, as it makes the make-up look over-used & rather strange.
I also recommend using a liquid eyeliner in brown, as it is not harsh or dark, & is easy to apply.
I hope I supplied you with good answers.
Cheers!

I am told that my eyes are very pretty, or sexy, depending on who is looking into them, but I do have brown eyes, and they are commented on alot. and I use a light shadow on the lid, and a darker brown on the brow, with a dark eyeliner on the bottom lip of the eyelid and then I take a streak of light shadow under the lid to bring out the eyes. then mascara, and beautiful eyes, blue can work too if it isnt to gaudy, and purple. it just depends on your skin type too. I am toned skin, like it is tanned.

Purples incredibly cause them to stand out exact! So do golds. I generally use the eyeshadow from Sonia Kashuk's "Breathtaking Brunette" palette...you will get it at objective. it incredibly is like a golden, coppery brown...brings out the gold in my eyes and makes them look gorrrggg.

I use Cover Girl for all eyeshadows...as long as they are shimmery. I usually wear mauve, but I mix it with a bunch of other kinds of shimmery pink to make it multi-colored. It's amazing.
Also, the 3 pack of brownish colors looks good too.
