This is hilarious. You little lefties continue to show that you cannot argue with true facts. Lets get a few things straight here. The republican party was created on the platform of abolishing slavery. Alex, you need to understand the "facts" that you think to be true. Uneducated people tend to be democrats. Its an unfortunate truth but many African Americans have limited educations. The facts are that the democrats win elections by pandering to the uneducated masses. Look at the demographics of voters. The leadership in both parties is very educated, there is no denying that. The real test though is looking at the education of the voters. Republican voters tend to be middle to upper class suburban people with college degrees. Democratic voters tend to be poor to middle class voters that live in urban settings. Income directly matches level of education, and the farther up the economic scale you go the fewer democrats you see. These are basic truths about American society. Alex, you can argue your fake points all you want, but the truly educated are all laughing at their computers. If anyone still wants to argue this feel free to email me. I am always willing to put my facts up against peoples feelings and emotions.

Because the Democrats will do anything to keep them on the "liberal plantation". The Democrats want minorities to rely on them because without them they would lose a lot of votes. They do not want black people to think independently or they would be Republicans

Most black people I know are Republican.

Unless you have personal knowledge of "MOST" black people, this is a "broad generalization" that could easily be perceived as a racist question.

**EDIT** How about, "Why do "many" black people vote...
Sorry, after spending TOO much time in east Texas, where I heard this over and over again, I have to stand by my original statement. It's a racist thing. And with SO many white supremacists claiming to be Republicans, it's no wonder SOME black people might find the party offensive.

Personally, I tend to vote independent... but more often than not, I DO vote Republican.
But when questions are phrased as they are by this asker, why even wonder? Stop making BROAD generalizations about groups of people. That might help end the mystery.

For goodness sakes, it's not a racist question. It's well-known that a large percent of minorities are Democrats.

There are always references to 'white people' on YAnswers, bible-thumbing white imperialist, etc. If you're going to defend against racism, do it for ALL groups. Otherwise, you're just a racist yourself.

To answer your question, Democrats have the long-held reputation for working for the benefit of minorities.

Theory

The more education one has, the more likely they are to be liberal in their views, thus more likeley to be a democrat. (that is a fact)

Many black people do not vote. The very well educated tend to vote for democrats due to what I mentioned before. The poor either do not vote, or vote democrat because they are more willing to help poorer people.

Just my thought, havn't looked too much into the subject though.

ScruffyCat: No offense, but can it. You hear thousands of sentences each day whining about "why white people this" and why do white people that".

THIS however, may be racist. It's because Republicans don't agree with some minority group complaining about how their skin color magically makes it hard to find work. I have Chinese relatives who were basically refugees. They're doing just DANDY. (one family is living in a million dollar home).

*Ok, fine, scratch that. But Alex, is it just me, or do Liberal ideas look good at the moment, but in the long-run, turn out to be naive and unbalanced?*

Other than that, I don't really know why. They just are, I guess.

Remember all those racist TV ads in last year's elections?

They were all from Republicans.
