Sateen is a man-made fabric so it doesn't breathe at all, and you end up being really hot and sweaty. It's cool for the first few minutes and then suddenly you're in a sauna! Also, it's super hard to grip on to ;)
Flannel is much better for sleeping and everything else!

My wife hates flannel sheets, so sateen it is. Some people who have have answer this question seem to think you meant satin instead of sateen. However, sateen is a cotton fabric with a satinlike finish.

It depends on the season, flannel sheets in the winter to keep you warm and comfortable, and sateen sheets for the spring or fall because they are soft and sexy.

I'd have to go with Sateen... Flannel is too warm... unless it's winter, then I'd consider flannel.

This time of year flannel for sure.I'm not big on satin sheets,at least not for an every night thing,they aren't all that cozy.But they are good to throw on for a weekend in the bed love fest!!
