Remember that alcohol was illegal once too!

Not much. Those that are dead set against pot are relying on "information" that isn't supported by empirical evidence--in short, it's a matter of conviction.
Those in the middle ground will continue to be more or less disapproving--and probably get everybody mad by pushing for some real research on the health effects.
The majority of people will just shrug--and hope the DEA, etc. will finally be able to focus their resources on really dangerous drugs.

In other words, pretty much like Americans reacted after Prohibition was repealed.

Its a drug. No. It will always be bad in my opinion.

So.. Not for me. I'm completely against drugs, and wish that alcohol was banned, but I know better than that.

Legalizing it in my opinion wont make it any better, but keeping it illegal is doing more damage than making it legal IMO as well.

If anything, I would vote it legalized, but I will also be the one to go out and try and get something done for drug awareness, the hazards of drugs, try and educate people and I will gladly volunteer time to help anyone who is suffering from drug abuse, or addiction, and their families and friends.

God I hate drugs.

I think so. People that are in chronic pain would be flocking to buy it. I have never even smoked a cigarette, pot or taken anything other than prescribed or OTC medication and I would try it to see if it worked for my chronic back and neck pain. I think that the money from taxes on it would be best spent on programs to help keep kids off the streets.

Absolutely. The government would eliminate all propaganda associated with pot immediately. Since the tax money would fund a great many programs.
