I like to cook and I always dreamed about having my own restaurant but I dont no if its worth it

It worth it if you really enjoy owning a restaurant. Don't do it to get rich.

I agree. Location where there's minimal compitition, good rent, and it is an expensive biz, so seeing black will take quite awhile.
3-5 is norm. Just keep looking at your out going and incoming to see where you're heading. Don't be dicouraged about being in the red for so long. It'll be good in the long run.
Being your own chief cook (Chef) is a great way to start. Also, put yourself on the payroll. Don't spend the restaurants money.

if you get a good location, with a decent rent. its great. restorants make a killing. but like any business, be prepared to scrimp and scrape for the first coule years.
