Stephen Crane view on war?

i am writing an enlgish paper and i am writing it on how stephen crane's view on war is different than the people of his time. We just finished reading Red Badge of Courage....but im not sure how he feels in that book. If anyone could tell about how he felt towards the war/s that would be very helpful!!

Here's a clue...compare the popular attitude towards war during the the Civil War and Crane's attitude. By popular attitude, mean how did the general population see war, and battles.
