yes, your skin will go back down,,,,,, go to kmart pharmacy,,, ask them if they have a lotion/oil called "Mothers Friend" , its not a perscription,,,,,, but for some reason i have seen it there during inventories,,,,,, its great for rubbing on your stomach, if you cant find it, use baby oil,, do this morning and night,,,, that will help your skin stretch without so many stretch marks,,,,,,, after you give birth,,,,,,, wait a few weeks then start slowly exercising, to get back to your prebirth weight,,,,, best of luck (ps: breastfeeding helps both your weight and muscles return to normal)

You can get your body back. All bodies are different, but if you get huge quickly during your pregnancy, you get stretched in extreme ways.
I gained 50 pounds during the last month of pregnancy due to pre-eclampsia. I have loose skin and stretch marks ON MY FEET! I guess you can imagine how my abdomen looks.
I have always had a small waist.....a year has passed since my baby was born....I still don't have a waist, but I am not working hard on it, either.
I can only ask that you wait until your baby is born, and remember this question in another year. You will have a different point of view, believe me. You will know that your body is messed up a little bit more than before because of this incredible life you created, and it just doesn't seem that terrible.
There is always plastic surgery. I would personally rather have more kids and have the scars than be a childless hottie.

Oh, believe me girl, I have been there. I had a nice, athletic body before my kids and unfortunately, i don't anymore.
I have a 5 year old and 14 month old twins. During the 1st pregnancy, I had pre-eclampsia and was very swolen. I got a lot of stretch marks. They faded, but the skin always sagged a little.
After the twins, well, i wish I could tell you that it all came back. Every body is different. Maybe yours will be one that reacts like sponge cake.
I still don't feel sexy, but I am working on it. My husband still thinks I am sexy. I think he was realistic to begin with.
The stomach, I can deal with, it's the saggy boobs that get me down. Literally! :(
Good Luck!

There's hope.
Breastfeeding helps
Drink LOTS of water with a drop of lemon in it (keeps you from retaining the water)
Eat at least a lil something for breakfast to kickstart your metabolism
Dont eat for 3 hours before bed
Eat slower, you will fill up on less food.
Find ways to sneak in extra exercise (like park farther away from the store, go on walks with baby)
Eat 5 or 6 small meals a day rather than 3, it will keep you fuller
Choose healthier snacks
Leave a couple bites from every meal, it adds up!
If you get the urge to snack, drink a 4oz glass of non-fat milk to help curb your appetite. Also, drink a small glass of it BEFORE each meal. 24oz of milk a day aids in weight loss, and it will decrease the ammount you want to eat
Join a gym or Curves and go 5 days a week. I personally LOVE curves because a half hour a day tones and slims your whole body!

it depends on the diet you have and how much you exercise. I know people who are in their mid 20s and look amazing i would have never thought that they had kids.
this girl my mom works with is 24 years old and she has a 3 year old and a 8 month old and looks like shes never been close to being pregnant. after you have the baby stay away from soda and junk food and ask your doctor how long you should wait until you start to work out.
i know exactly how you feel im also 34 weeks. Due on March 13th
i use baby oil vith aloe and vitamin E. palmers cocoa butter massage cream for stretch marks. Hollywood beauty cocoa butter and tree huts coconut lime shea butter every day and it makes my skin look better and softer and my stretch marks lighter. you can look them all up on google and buy them online or go to a walmart and look for them.
cant you just wait for these 6 weeks to be up?!
I cant wait for him to get here he keeps hitting my sciatic nerve causeing horrible pains in my lower back.
=P sorry im in a very talkitive mood.

well being in shape DURING your pregnancy also helps, not gaining more weight than is necessary... but you can't do anything about that at this point in time.
Usually the doctor won't let you exercise until 6 weeks after delivery, but you should try walking as soon as you feel able. Breastfeeding does a lot to shrink your stomach down and burn extra calories.
everyone's body reacts differently, and also bodies have a hard time bouncing back after each pregnancy. for me, my stomach is fine but my breasts are totally ruined. Honestly though, none of it matters. I used to be worried about my body, but once you have a child your whole perspective changes. your love for your little baby will totally drown out your own insecurities. you'll feel so proud of yourself for being a good mom, and so proud of your baby for being sweet and beautiful, and little else will matter.

You have to look at your mother and other women in your family. This will give you a good indication of how your body (might) turn out. You might have to get lipo and a tummy tuck.
The less weight you gain during your pregnancy the easier it will be to get back to you pre-baby weight. But your husband loves you and I'm sure that isn't based solely on the way you look!

I've never been pregnant, so I can't help you with the other stuff, but I've had stretch marks ever since my teenage years, all the way down the back of my thighs, on my knees, and even on my boobs. They can't really be seen from far away. The funny thing is, my husband thinks they are sexy...go figure I hate them. Don't stress out about it too much. Best of Luck!!

My stomach had stretchmarks fairly bad, and the skin did go back quite a bit, but it does look somewhat 'saggy'. I wouldn't be wearing no one piece bathing suit. As for lingerie, I wear it still. My husband doesn't seem to mind my new... 'after pregnancy look' even though I hate it. But then I look at my son and remember it was all worth it :) I did get back to my pre-pregnancy size though.

So, pregnancy is measured by the first day of your last period. Thus, we have those two weeks where we aren't really pregnant but the implantation/fertilization is taking place in those 2 weeks, so technically it is included in pregnancy. So, if you are gestationally at 6 weeks, the fetal development is really at 4 weeks.

Well forhunatly I never got stretch marks and my stomach is flatter now than it was pre baby!!!
What I did was NOT eat for two, exercised up until like the last week of haing the baby and drank a ton of water and ate oranges and smoothees...I only gained about 15 pounds, 9 of which was my baby!!!
The key is to NOT sit around all day..you have to be active and not eat like a pig.
I didnt have to buy maternity clothes either!
Serioulsy, just eat well and do exercise, even if it walking for 40 minutes a day, you will be fine.
