Me and my new hubbie found out we are expecting our first child together. This makes #3 for me and #2 for him. Our children range in ages from 9yrs, 8yrs, and 6yrs... Does anyone have a cute or unique way to announce to them they are going to be a big brother/sisters?? I want it to be special.

I think it would be cute if you bought something for a infant and just placed it in the house... like a bassinet. When they ask what it's for, tell them "its for your new baby brother or sister!". Good luck and have fun. :)

Remember not to get too carried away with the pregnancy and ignore them at all... since this will be you and your new hubbies first, make sure the other kids still feel just as special!

one idea would be to fix their fav foods, or order out, have a family thing, discuss their hobbies, etc and casually ask questions like, where would you live if you could live anywhere in the world, if you could have any pet what would it be, if you could have another brother or sister which one would you pick? You can be creative with other questions, but make sure you end w/ the brother/sister question, then use that as the icebreaker

Buy them t-shirts that say "I'm going to be a big sister/brother!"

Personally, I was 8 when my mom got pregnant with my little brother, and I dont even remember how they told me, so it would be cute if you did something memorable. Congrats!

do one of those virtual pictures where they blend your husband and your pictures together to create a baby and add the product to a current family picture and show it to them and ask them what's different. a funny thing would be to get one of those strap on pregnancy stomach things of like a pillow under your shirt and suprise them when they get home from school.

Get them new t-shirts and wrap them. Make a nice sit down breakfast or dinner and have them unwrap their gifts all at the same time.
