It's an OK deal since it's a Sony. I've bought similar dell laptops for $700 w/ shiipping from ebay. It is a curious thing why the battery is not included for such a new laptop. Hopefully this seller has been around for a while and has a good rating. It's always a good idea to read other customer feedback before you bid.

Well it seems ok, but buy the battery asap. Reason is you want to make sure the computer works, and if it has a registration card, send it in or register on the internet. Also, see what it would cost for a warranty too. The warranty with sony should be cheaper than getting one at a store. Save your boxes for future use.

actually, since sony laptops are usually expensive yeah you got a good deal. I wonder why not battery. Oh yeah it probably had a Sony battery. We all know what happened with Sony laptop batteries : ) . Yeah that's a good deal. By the way is it Raid 0 or Raid 1. Just curious.

If they give you a 1 year warranty, it's a great deal.
But I don't think a 6 cell brand new battery will cost less than $100 may be more

I would say no because you get it but you can't use it until you buy the battery for like $100 so no. but I would think it will be to small but good ram!

If in fact there is a warranty, its not a bad deal. I would be concerned about the battery.

Careful you don't open that box and it's a phonebook inside.

its probably better you didn't get the Sony battery, the damn thing would have probably caught fire anyway.
