This is a true story. There was a woman born many years ago. She's probably in her 70's now. She had the weirdest name. I didn't hear the story until many years later about her name.
Her parents were wanting a boy. They picked out the name Andrew. They had a girl instead and named her Werdna. It was Andrew backwards. That was the first time that I had heard of naming someone a backwards name.
Personally, I'd rather go through my life as Nevaeh, than Werdna.

I think Nevaeh is odd. Just name the little girl Heaven if that's what you want the name to mean.

I think people always want to be looked at as being more intellegent or artsy than they really are. Especially celebs. Nevaeh is an originally name but if they named her heaven then everyone would think they were a lil crazy..

I think the name Nevaeh is revolting, especially since after people say it, they always have to add 'It's Heaven, spelled backwards!'.

I think that if someone is going to do that to a child, they need to try it on themselves first. Try spelling and saying your name to people. If after a couple of days it gets to annoying to keep correcting everyone, then they will see what their kid will have to through everyday for the rest of their life.

I think it's cute! What could be disturbing about it? It's not like he named her Hell, for Heaven's sakes...He's the lead singer of a Christian Rock Band. I'm pretty sure there was no hidden evil meaning behind it. I think people tend to look for trouble where there is none.

I think if the name is cute backwards why not... but if it sounds weird, then don't use it.. I'm not a fan of strange names. Heaven backwards is sort of strange, seems a little disrespectful to me.. but who knows. I do agree it can be disturbing.

based on a strange kind of mental illness. the religeous might see it as the dark side, and indeed it is to a degree. but it is a legitimate symptom of mental illness.
heaven spelled backwards would be the opposite of heaven, ie hell. very strange indeed. the whole world has gone crazy.

I think it is cruel and unusual punishment to give your child a name that they will spend a lifetime explaining and usually defending. Kids are cruel and will always find a way to make fun of someone. Believe me! My name is Regina and there is nothing that rhymes with it and they still came up with something: Remember the "Regina steamer carpet cleaner"? Yep, that was me.
Leave it simple! You kid will love you later.
