Well, its not really news-that information has been out there for some time.

I do think the headline "unstoppable" is bad reporting. The scientific consensus is, correctly stated, that global warming can't be stopped quickly--simply because even if we could end all CO2 emmissions instantly (hardly possible) the CO2 already in the air isn't going to break down for decades.

But we can do a great deal to minimize the problem--by shifting to alternative energy production systems and fuel-efficient technologies.

"Unstoppable" is very dramatic phrasing--but it distorts the actual situation vis a vis what we can do.

many things are excluded
our ocean current has stored away our greatest excess ,most of the poisen is only now emerging from our pre industrial age ,its like a 100 year karma
even if we stopped adding to our problem live time that current is going to reveal our past excess ,into our air for the next 100 years
that we do or do not do will only add ,not take away that lies have helped us to put upon the unborn a very large burden.
worse our science and leaders have kept it suppressed ,with thier big brother knows best suppression of science fact.
