You are not too far out of line with medical thought on the issue.
Anal sex is potentially dangerous for the receiver. The colon can tear easily, there is discomfort aplenty, and sexually transmitted diseases are more likely to be transmitted via anal compared to vaginal or oral sex.
However, there are a great many people - straight as well as queer - who enjoy a good ol' buttf*****g. There are straight boys who enjoy their girlfriends strapping on a dildo and doing them up the posterior, a practice known as pegging.
The anus does have a high concentration of nerve endings, which is why, for example, you can get some pleasurable sensations from defecating. It is right by the genitalia, and the nerve impulses from the anus do propagate upwards through the same nerves that serve the genitals.
Rimming, or licking of the anus, is a practice which does do it for some people, on either side of the sack.

Well, I'm a gay man, and I think that it might not be abnormal becaust straight people do it too; but I think it's unhealthy. I mean, after all, just think about it for a minute. I don't encourage this activity.

Well not to be rude to you but someone's sexual preference is totally personal and ones own choice so if they like that then whatever. But your not off because you think it's abnormal. You just don't like it.. so what. It doesn't make you a bad person for not agreeing with that type of sex.

No, you aren't. The anal opening was deliberately constructed to be a ONE-WAY STREET. Going the wrong way on a one-way street is VERY risky, and could be fatal.
