I'm sort of friends with this girl, let's call her Joan. Joan's goal ever since the beginning of high school was to be popular so she ditched her middle school friends to hang out with new people. Last year, she started going out with a lot of guys (she was a junior) and she dated seniors. Then, she claimed that my cousin treated her like dirt. Here's the thing: she's a very promiscious girl and she always wants a guy's attention to a certain extent. When I needed an approval from a club president, she stood right in front of me watching the guy sign his name. She also hangs around my friend's bf, hugging and way too touchy. I'm was so sick of this girl trying to be in the center of attention that I no longer talk or hang around her. I have a new group that I hang out with. Joan and I have a mutual friend, Mel. Mel wants to bring Joan into our Limo for formal. I am not comfortable with this girl and she's asking me why she's not invited to go into the limo? Should i be blunt or be nice

It is your special night and you have the right to spend it with people you love. She is not one of them. Be blunt, but to be blunt you do not have to use profanity or words that hurt. Tell her you are and her are not close friends and you do not agree with the way she carries herself in her manors, that you prefer to not have her with you on a night that is not going to revolve around her need for constant attention and drama. That will explain it without calling her easy or permissive to everyone she meets. Have a good time, but have it your way and don't bend. If your friend continues to make it an issue. Then let them know that you will choose another form of transportation if they add her to your limo.
Have a great time

be nicely blunt...tell her that youre not comfortable around her because of the things that shes done in the past. tell her what's up, in other words, but do it tactfully and be careful about and sensitive to her feelings.
