Do you think that the girl in Loisianna that said that she lived with her grandmother, and father that was paralyzed, was making that story up to get votes from the judges. I don't want to be mean but she said that her father shot her stepmother and himself after catching the woman cheating. Don't you think he would be in jail instead of at home. That is a crime. I don't know if I understood her correctly but I don't like people who go on the show and tell a sad story just to get through and then want people to vote for them for their singing, when ever you see them people will be voting for them based on their sad story, not their singing.

well if the story is true then he IS paralized...prison isn't the best place for someone whose paralized. I doubt at that point he had to serve that much time.
But I hear what you're saying....it did sound awfully Kelly Pickler-esque to me too.
Who knows....

I think she was telling the truth. Her dad could have done that a long time ago. There was probably a lot more details to the story that we don't know about.

I'm sick of sob stories on reality TV shows. Everyone has problems and it's supposed to be about singing.
