I think you can only have a marriage annulled if you entered the marriage under false pretences. ie:someone was already married, too young to legally get married, wasn't who they said they were. etc
otherwise you need to file a divorce. Either way start with a marriage solicitor and get legal advice from them.

It means that the marriage has been legally cancelled.
