Before James Brown sang, "Say It Loud", Black People were called "colored" and were told that they were not as good as whites. After James sang "I'M Black and I'm Proud", the whole world changed. There developed a new attitude in Black America and the United States. God bless you James, my dear friend. I miss you everyday. The world is a much better place since you were once in it. Your rifts and your heart changed music and the world.

His music had a style of it's own. At the time no one else did it like he could. I know that he had his share of problems. They seemed to be self inflicted and he isn't alone in that area. Public figures are always looked upon and watched more closely , but he did some things that I thought was pretty bad. That was his personal life. Again, his music is what I will remember him for. I think that is the part of his life that was worth something special.

He's the Godfather of soul. He paved the way for todays hip hop. Every from run dmc to nwa to Jayz list him as an influence. He is a legend.
