WOW, where have you been that last 300 years. Name me one point in time when it's ever been Okay for "Blacks" to have any kind of history even remember it? C'mon I dare you, see too many Blacks would be surprise to find out white people don't like black history month or against it. But they only can see on the surface they see that "why blacks should have a black history and whites don't". On the surface it seems they have a valid argument but is it really valid?

Allow me to explain if you find something I said untrue, misleading or incorrect show me. To find out if they(whites who are against it) have a valid argument we have to research the thing they tell you to forget, the past. But when you look to the past you find all sorts of neat things.

Back in the past a man name Willie Lynch said in 1712 about HOW TO CONTROL BLACKS. One thing he use what ignorance "....being a FOOL is one of the basic ingredients of and incidents to the maintenance of the slavery system...."

He also said you can control them hundreds of years if not thousands if you can keep them FOOLs and void of understanding. He also stated:

"Our experts warned us about the possibility of this phenomenon occurring, for they say that the mind has a STRONG DRIVE to CORRECT and RECORRECT itself over a period of time if it can touch some substantial ORIGINAL historical base and they advise us that the best way to deal with this phenomenon(beyond ordinary)is to shave off the brutes mental history and create a multiplicity(many) of phenomena of illusions(false lies)."

If you never look to history your mind could never touch some substantial orginal historical base. One hundred year latter in 1832 a Senator named Henry Berry said to the Virginia house of Delegates: "We have as far as possible closed every avenue by which the LIGHT (truth) may enter the slave's mind. If we could extinguish the capacity to see the light, our work would be complete. They would then be on the level with the beast of the field".

It's obvious this country was hell-bent on keeping blacks from the history. The president has power if they had power to end slavery why no 200 years earlier? If they have power to give blacks voting rights in 1965 why not in 1865? The US goverment was fully responiable for that. Did you know after slavery 300 event were "white roit" that kill thousands of blacks and had 370, 000 refugee?

In all cases not one white person was ever convicted of murdering a Black person regardless of how horrible their crimes. Hate was part of the fabric of white American society. They protected their "Supreme" status at all cost. Blacks had no value and no souls. Blacks had no rights. Blacks weren't people and in political discussions Blacks existence was referred to as the "***** question". To the average whites ALL Blacks were *******. In 1920 2 out of 10 whites in America were members of the KKK. Blacks were de-humanized so whites could commit any heinous act without guilt and with impunity. It's hard to kill one of Gods human beings, but easy to kill a thousand *******.

The methods of murders in white race riots were similar in each case, which included but not limited to: Lynching, burning, castration, stoning, bullet riddling, just plain shot, dragged in the street, drowned, beat, punched, hit with assorted objects, heads split with an axe and more than can be imagined by any ungodly person. It was common for a single Black victim to incur all of the above forms of punishment from his fellow American. Bodies have been subjected to this type of treatment with as many as 100 plus individual whites to 1 Black victim. Many bodies were reported to be punished for hours after the victim was already dead.

They became merchants of the macabre as they cut up the victims bodies into parts for resale as, souvenirs, mementos, and mantle pieces. Black victims had hearts, lips, ears, fingers, spleen, liver, lungs, intestines, penis, hands, heads, scrotum and all other body parts and even the Black fetus was not spared.

Out of the millions plus that died in this land name more than three whites ever convicted of killing a black person? Yet not at anytime could the Government or and white person held their self guilty for killing a black person. They rather give a black history month instead of Recognize what they have done.

Ignorance, pure and simple. Ignorant people get particularly angry when they're challenged to learn something new or try to put themselves in the place of another. Their ignorance also leads them to believe Black History Month is some kind of official national holiday being forced on them.

Ignorance is a very sad thing, but as you can see here on Yahoo! Answers it's not going anyway anytime soon.

People would just like things to be fair. If there is a Black History, why not a White History Month? hmm......

Most of the things you listed are not celebrated by Americans anyway.

everyone has there own reasons but personally i don't think there should be a month to learn any type of history if you want to learn it then go for it regardless of the time of year but if you don't then why should it be pushed onto you for that one month

Most people don't really know about all the other months so they're ignorant. They like to make generalizations and accusations without doing any research.
