There are many similar sounding names out there, and sometimes spam companies will choose a name very much like the name of a known reputable product. There is a free program called Spybot Search & Destroy which is excellent. AdAware by www.lavasoft.de is another excellent one. These will catch spyware, but you also need an up-to-date virus scanner.

Spybot S&D and Adaware SE are BOTH very good and highly respected anti-adware/spyware programs. I use both of them on a regular basis.
