I know that your job has to be very hard at times. I do know that at times you do have to take a deep breath. BUT, have you ever told your students that they were stupid, told them they were like talking to brick walls, cursed in anger, threw a chair across the room, told them their hand writing made you sick at your stomach or singled them out infront of the class to degrade them?

My child is in a class with a teacher who treats all of her students in this manner. No matter which child she is upset with, she takes it out on all of the children and at times has singled a child out. It bothers my son that she treats the other children this way.

I am not a teacher but when i was 9 year old... one angry teacher threw the black board duster on my classmate. it hit his head and he was bleeding senseless... this was when we were 9...

And when i was 14 we had a psycho teacher who always swore saying " i will f*** you and throw you into the dustbin"

There are some really crazy teachers in this world... if you are concerned about your childs learning and think they will be influenced by bad behaviour, i suggest enroll your children in a good private school.

Your children dont deserve this...

It is VERY difficult to remove a teacher who has tenure. However, this teacher sound like he has mental problems including anger management problems. Make an appt. with the principal of the school and take your time discussing your concerns in detail. Chances are he will tell you of his frustration with the situation. He may have tried to have the teacher removed without success. From personal experience, I know that if the child's father pursues the issue, he may do better than a woman would. Sad but true. You might also consider drawing up a petition signed by many parents to send to the superintendent and the Board of Education. They would have a hard time ignoring that.

I'm not a teacher, but I have gone to two dozen years of school.
And in that time I have met a lot of other students as well.
Yes, some teachers are not the "make everyone feel good type". Honestly, some of them are just plain mean and I suspect greatly dislike not only children, but adults as well.
I don't know why you bother asking the question. I mean, you know it already happens. I'll bet it has happened to you, like many others (myself included - if I had a dollar for every time a math teacher called me stupid, I wouldn't worry about my student loans).
The point being this - if you are that concerned, get your kid out of that class. My folks were never rich by any stretch of the imagination, and they scrimped to send me to private school for just that reason.
Good Luck

I am no teacher, but my kid comes home with all kinds of stories. Every monday morning the kids are each tell what they did over the weekend. Then the teacher will use that info against the kids during the week when it comes to there home work not done or done to her expectation. Also they do single out children in front of other children. The system is gone crazy they are abusive to the children. Ny kid came home with 28lb of books. She weighs about 75lbs and had to walk 1/4 of a mile. There all assholes. I have no respect for them. Behind the sceene they demonize parents to justify there short commings. In the plight to make their job more exciting (activities, feild trips ect) they only pile onto the children homework that takes till 8 or 9 pm at night. Don't you dare critasize them or your child will pay the price...........................................

I am not a teacher, but when I was in school I had a teacher a lot like this. Some of us complained, but because we were kids not much was done about it. I would suggest that you & your son find a way to tape her with vidio or recording of some kind. Then go to the Bord of Education that way they can hear with thier own ears what is being said . Then maybe they can stop this MAD woman ! Good luck !!!!

I've worked in schools before and if I had ever seen or heard of a another teacher doing this I would bring it to the principals attention. And if that doesn't do it, the school board.

Why should a teacher treat the children this way, they are supposed to teach and support your children. It's hard enough out there with out having a TEACHER do this to them!!!

UNACCEPTABLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm not a school teacher, but I have witnessed a teacher doing this. One of our high school teachers lost it after a girl started talking during our reading period. He didn;t even give her a chance. He started cursing at her calling her a b****, a h*** and a complete and total idiot. We told our principal about it and he was fired the next day. It is okay to be hard in students, but it is never okay to be like that. I want to be a teacher and it breaks my heart to see some of them hating their students this much.

I'm not a teacher, but I have to say that I had every single one of those things happen to me before I was out of grade school...And I was a straight-A student! (Fortunately, the chair missed us and broke the coat closet door instead.)

Sadly, I think things like this happen in all public schools. I hope your son does okay.

I am not a teacher but, the parents of the children should keep reporting her, go to the school board and mention this to them. Go to the police and explain to them. This is harrasment and could be abbuse in many ways. It should not have gone on for 3 yrs. It will be harder if she gets her tenure. Have the other parents go with you and report her.

My kids, aged 9 and 11, have both had a psycho teacher in the past. We nipped that in the bud real quick! One retired the next year, the other is in the looney bin.
