Thunder is correct... the two panes of glass are insulated... or supposed to be, hehehhe... Usually insulated glass panes contain argon gas in the space between them. If you had moisture appear between them... then the seal was broken, and the argon has escaped (no, its not dangerous)... leaving your door without the insulating properties it was supposed to have.

There is no quick fix for this problem. What you should do, is replace the door. You can replace either the door pane itself, or the whole installation. The sliding glass door itself, can be adjusted (bring all the guide wheels into the door) and then you can lift it out of the jamb. Possibly, you can get another door.

Another option, if you have a glass shop in your area, is to send the door out for repair. They will probably order a new glass pane set (insulated), and then install that in your door frame. I doubt very much that they would try to do anything with the existing glass. Now.. this can actually be as expensive, if not more so, than replacing the whole thing. Awhile back I had to have an insulated window pane replaced...I could have bought a whole new window, for what I paid for just the glass in that one sash unit.

Go shopping.... you may find a new door at a reasonable price.

Good Luck :)

The dual pane sliding glass door is usually vacuumed sealed. There is no easy solution except replacement.
