I want to make a CD for my boyfriend and I with some upbeat pop/top 40 songs to have on while we are starting to get it on/getting it on. 3 suggestions per person please.

Well, I can help, but you didn't specify what year you wanted these top 40 hits to be, so they're not really new, but they're awesome for what you're looking for. (Now if you wanted sexy SLOW songs, there's no way I could only give three, but you're in luck!) Since you said upbeat, these are the three I thought of right away:
Rock Your Body- by Justin Timberlake.
(Let's Go Somewhere and) Get It On Tonight- from the Save the Last Dance soundtrack.
Slow Motion- by Color Me Badd (awesome choice!)

Y top 40. Y not Marvin Gaye- song Sexual Healing
Issac Hayes- just about any song but shaft, most R so sexy.
And since its for getting it on Marvin Gaye again-lets get it on.
Dont limit yourself to top 40 music U will miss out on alot of great older stuff! Hope I helped, enjoy!
