The world is OVERLY SUE_HAPPY anymore!!!!

Doesn't he have insurance?

This is something that perhaps would be covered under your parents home-owner's insurance if it comes down to it. Hopefully it will not. This was an accident and accidents do happen.

If you are best friends, I truly hope that his parents mellow out and find a better way to deal with it. (Their dental/health insurance would be a GREAT place to START...)

Good LUCK!!! ; )

You were BOTH running and you both fell? Was he running because you were holding a gun on him and demanding that he run? If he ran of his own volition (choice) then his tooth is HIS repsonsibility. What an idiotic accusation. I doubt that that this "lawsuit" will hold up in court...

You don't even owe 50/50!! But some people are bona fide idiots, so you may have to get a lawyer, yourself. But let me reiterate... if you were BOTH running (playing?), and you both got "hurt," I'm afraid this just falls under the heading of "sh!t happens."

The parents sound like morons.

If you get a lawyer and they get a lawyer, you will probably get sued for ten times as much, and have to pay your lawyer too.

It costs that much for a dental implant, and it is best to have that done before the space in the teeth starts to close up.

Teeth are more important than you understand yet. Be a good friend, and be more careful. It might not be fun, but you can work this out and go on from there.

It was just an accident. I wonder what he told his parents.........
He must have told them it was your fault or they wouldn't be acting this way.
I really don't believe they can sue you but they can go after your parents.
Call Legal Aid or any lawyer and ask.

What were you doing while running. Generally if you were participating in a recreational activity and someone playing with you is injured you're not liable.
