I have a domain name that i have registered through yahoo and i don't have any hosting for it. I'm wondering if i can get an email account with that domain through some free place or host it on my computer. I'm not computer smart so i'm looking for an easy way.

You can host it on your own computer if you want. All the software to do so is free. You need apache web server, php, MySql, and a free SMTP server. You will also need a static IP address. Once all that is in place and working, you can get your domain name entries in the DNS servers update.

OR you can do things the easy and cheap way and get yahoo hosting for under $10 bucks a month.

You need to register that domain name with a hosting service. Once that's done, either see what their terms are for email accounts or see what you have to do to purchase them (although most companies give them to you for free.).

When you get a host organization for it, email addresses are a service provided by the hosting organization. Some reasonable number of them are free. Yahoo hosts very cheaply for example.

Go into Gmail and change your signature settings. I don't have access to my gmail account at the moment to check but thats the most likely place for the fix to be located.
