I met a woman almost 2 months ago....On Jan 1 this woman had her period we didnt have sex on New Years because of this....We finally had sex around January 9th. On january 25 she tells me she thinks she is pregnant and buys two ept tests and calls me and says she is pregnant. She wants $400 to get rid of the child. Am I being Scammed or does this sound possible?

From what I can gather, the earliest a home pregnancy test can detect a positive result accurately is within the first day of a missed period (but as early as 4 days before her expected period). If she had her period on January 1st, then she wouldn't have a missed period until around a month later. Any earlier than that seems unlikely to be accurate. To be sure, a doctor will administer their own urine or blood test first.
Although it's possible that she is pregnant, I'm suspicious that she could get pregnant a week after her period and then know that she is pregnant two weeks later. And even if she really is pregnant, who's to say that she wasn't pregnant before and just had sex with you to get you to give her $400 for an abortion? She could have lied about having her period.
Anyway, there are a lot of assumptions I can make, but for all I know she could be telling you the truth. If I were you, however, I wouldn't just fork over $400 without proof. If she refuses, just tell her that you don't believe in abortion (but that's a risk you'll have to take, unless you're ready to take care of a baby). I just think that you should have more of a role other than $$$.

An abortion doesn't usually cost $1,000.00 unless it is a LATE TERM abortion since she would be only about 4 to 6 weeks along an abortion would probably cost only about $400.00 if not less in fact. If she suspected she may have gotten pregnant when you had sex she could take an EPT and the results could come back positive in a short time. Some women test positive very early on in their pregnancies. I've heard of women testing negative past the 25th week. Pregnancy is NOT an exact science. IF you want to be sure you're not being scammed either go along with her to the doctor or have her give the doctor your name/address etc and have her sign the consent form to allow the doctor to send you all of her medical records pertaining to this pregnancy. That is pretty much the only way YOU will know for certain because without HER consent to anything (including you going with her) you will never know...it is all covered under the Privacy Act (HIPPA), and she is not obligated to allow you to come along if/when she has an abortion.

You are not being scammed. Those ept tests are pretty accurate. Some of them can detect within 4 days of a missed period. If you feel that she is an honest person and have no interest in committing yourself to her and the baby, then give her the $400. It'll save you a lot of grief in the future.

Well, an abortion is more like $1000, not $400. Make her go to the doctor or ask her doctor to prove to you she is pregnant. She could be lying. It only takes 2-3 weeks after sex to get a positive on a pregnancy test.

Its all about how much you trust this woman?
I should not mention this as you already regret not protecting both of you.
If she had her period on the 1st jan, as for all i know it will atleast take about 6 Feb to confirm pregnancy. To me it feels not exactly truthful but we can never know as we are in her position... possibly the abortion id $800.00 and she is asking you to share....
The sensible thing to do here is: together go for a doctor examination and if it ends up that she is pregnant then the doctor will be able to tell you the date the intercourse could have taken place for her to get pregnant.
my advice is dont be too negative... just take the next step with a neutral attitude :)

She could be pregnant, but I would go to the doctor with her, and get the proof of pregnancy from her doctor before just giving her money. I started getting symptoms around 3 weeks, but didnt get a positive test until 5 weeks.

I can't believe that in this day and age with all the information about STD that's out there, people still engage in unprotected sex. I suppose 2 months is enough to KNOW 100% that your partner is absolutely positively STD free. Geesh, wake up people.

she is testing you to get money. oldest trick they use.
note: they will also say they are pregnant to gage your reactions for possible marriage or parasitic support schemes.
also....pay attention... women have many different partners secretly that end up impregnating them... women do not care about morals or virtues so they will pick the best candidate to leach off of. - chances are good that it will not even be your own biological child that you are raising... nice huh?
happens all the time.
your choices are...
1. be a slave to this tramp for the rest of your life.
2. take her out for a LONG night of drinking.
3. run like hell and warn other potential victims.
if your young, you won't believe this. if your older and wiser, you will agree with me 100% - from experience.

I wouldn't send her money period. You should go to the doctor with her whether she likes it or not so you are present when the test is preformed, and the results are in.
