The Shining
Texas Chainsaw Massacre(original)
Evil Dead 1&2

The Shining at least for me was more a mind trip than anything. It was a awesome horror movie hardly using any blood and only the last part was kinda vilent. Not many movies can do that today.

TCM was a mind rush too cause here you are sitting down to watch this movie .When your just told it's based on a true story.Thinking to yourself omg there are really "real" people doing this(of course I know that's not true now). But as a kid I didn't know so it was very scary.

Evil Dead 1&2 scary, gore, dark humor all the things I like in a horror movie

I loved Silence of the Lambs, but it's more than a horror film to my mind, it is a classic movie, a real movie. When I think of horror movies for some reason I think of "B" movies, the sort of classic bad movies that are played late at night.
So in that vein I would have to say my favorite films are:

Jack Frost (not the one with Michael Keaton)

House of Wax (Vincent Price - 3-D)

Unfortunately I can't remember the name of the third film I love, it was an awful Italian film that scared the hell out of me since I was a child, but it will have to go nameless. Oh well. The mind goes as you get older.

I like the Shining (the first one),

I really liked Hostel. I have never wanted to just get up and escape from a movie....Just when I was about to turn off the tv, the victim starts getting some excellent revenge.

In the newer version of The Hills have eyes, I was really grossed out by the baby scene, since I just had my first child a year ago, and it really got my motherly instincts "upset".
