van drive shaft?

drive shaft is stiff and does'nt move could there be another problem? thanks

Good. It probably is the transmission. The valve body or filter may be clogged and not allowing it to send enough hydraulic pressure to complete the shift into overdrive. I would try changing the trans fluid and filter and if this doesn't work I would consider a trans rebuild.
