Is William Peterson (who plays Grissom) still on CSI? Where has he been?

William Peterson is not on CSI anymore, or at least for now. He decided he needed a break and has taken a job in live theater, I believe it is in Rhode Island, and I believe I read it is for about 6 months. The article I read left it open as to whether or not he was going to come back or not. He said he had been on the show since the beginning and just wanted to do something different and going before a live audience seemed to draw his attention.

He's took a break from CSI to do a stage play at Trinity Repertory Company in Providence, RI. The play ran Nov. 30th - Jan. 7th.

I believe he's taking a break to star in a theatrical production.

In the storyline, he is taking a six-week teaching sabattical. They said it on the episode when he left. Never fear - he WILL return.
