From the wording of this question I asume you are asking if you can or should upgrade from Windows Mobile 2003 SE to Mobile 5.0. If you can is one thing and whether you should is another matter. I recently asked myself the same question with regard to my HP iPAQ. I had to visit HP's website to find out if an upgrade was available - not surprisingly Microsoft's website didn't provide any helpful information. The manufacturer of your device can tell you if an upgrade is available for your particular model. I was going to purchase an upgrade from HP's website when I noticed a message warning "many HP iPAQ users have reported performance issues after upgrading their devices to Windows Mobile 5.0.". HP provides a link to Microsoft's "detailed explanation" which turns out to be a blog containing rather technical discussion. However it's clear from the blog that many people have experienced problems with their devices since upgrading, namely slower and inconsistent operating speed. I have found other discussion threads on the Internet referring to similar issues. I recommend you ask the manufacturer if they will offer any way to reinstall Mobile 2003 SE on your device in case you encounter serious problems after upgrading to 5.0 and want to switch back. I think it's very unlikely they will, especially if your device is no longer under warranty. If you do decide to take the risk remember to backup your data on a memory card - just in case. Incidentally, beyond the addition of a mobile version of Powerpoint and some added features to enhance security and storage capability I don't think Mobile 5.0 offers much more than what is contained in 2003 SE.
