For all the reasons you have stated but mainly to protect my hands so that they don't become dry.

All of the above but I just love wearing them, I always have. I have 8 pairs of rubber gloves and wear them for different chores around the house.

To keep my nail polish from chipping and my hands from drying out. By using gloves my polish lasts days longer.

So your hands don't have to touch the uneaten food. Which is kinda gross. And so your hands don't get wet.
