There are women who aren't extraordinarily beautiful, but when they dress up for parties, they just look so sleek, put-together, and polished. I straighten my hair with a flat iron, get a manicure, get my eyebrows waxed, and put on makeup and decent clothes, but I still don't nail it.

When I'm all dolled up, I look like this (makeup, skin, texture, etc.):

But how do you get polished like this?:

Those aren't me, but what's the big secret?? And don't tell me something lame, like "confidence", okay?

Lol you want to look like a big slut on purpose?!?! maybe pick someone truly chic to aspire too.

well if your going out for nighttime i would say a bit more dramatic make up ...*either the eyes or the lips*. Your hair does not look polished. It should look like every hair is placed where it is...not just falls there. Either with a good hair cut, your hair up or straightened, or properly curled.

now this is polished!...not some cheap ho styles. Notice how everything is in place, everything is simple but not boring. It has originality with out being over the top.
Its all about the details...clothes fit properly....hair...skin...make up...feet hands.
It takes work. Your a beautiful girl but i would say ....new hair cut....a bit more dramatic make up at night, more sophisticated jewellery and most of all confidence.
No visible undergraments. Spend extra money on quality clothing pieces u'll wear forever and skimp in other places. Find cool orginial jewellery that looks expensive.

I'm not sure I'd say the "polished" girl looks like my definition of polished (except for her hair). The reason the first photo looks less polished is the fabric of that dress - no chic woman wears shiny velvet like that! Clothing quality goes a LONG way, as does fit. Spend your money on key pieces that fit you well and be careful with the trends - don't go too nuts with them. When you go out, play up one feature that you love - cleavage, legs, etc. but keep the rest low key. And it is about confidence, sorry to say. Look at these girls who wear stuff that most of us would look ridiculous in, but somehow they make it look fab! It's all in how they carry themselves!

Ok, use blush for one thing,, but put a bronze power first, then a blush, you need rosy cheeks to look cute you know. Bobbie Brown says-make up artist, but I'm sure you know. With your skin tone, if you don't tone it up by using a bronzer power and add blush to the temple of your forehead; cheeks; and chin, you'll look dull and pale-and eewww...most guys like chicks with cheeks that are rosy**. Then you'll be a knock out. Now, also try to master the cat eye look with you eye liner. Just google it and you'll see what I mean. And, do curl your lashes, it gives you more perkiness, use a blow dryer and set it on low blow dry over the eye lash curler for about 15 sec. -metal is attracted to heat, so when you do this, you eye lashes will grow bigger and stay-and you will look like a babe. Use Revlon mascara BTW. :) Oh, and don't use too much dark color for your lips-not everyone can pull it off-use an off pink tint.

No women persons are not the only ones that do this. I generally locate my self admiring somebody else and feeling very green with envy of them. it incredibly is low self-incredibly worth yet I cant be beneficial. yet everybody feels it faster or later. except your a sort of super suitable preppy types, or while you're chuffed with your self. yet not many everybody is chuffed with the way they look. With human beings being made prettier and prettier how can an customary male sense mushy in his very own pores and skin. i've got faith like I could stay as much as each and all of the appropriate human beings. yet I cant and that i will merely could get use to that. i would be chuffed being me.

Do you wear eyeliner? try smoky eyes, works best with kohl powder, line the insides and the outer edge of the eyelids with an eyeshadow applicator (q-tips also work), and smudge it a bit to make it smoky. black mascara won't hurt either ;)...concentrate on one feature tho.. if your eyes are smoky, wear sheer lip colours and a warm shade of blush (powder and a bit shimmery). If you're using kohl (http://www.hashmisurma.com/hashmiweb/data/pro01.html) be careful not to get the powder all over your face but if you do, wipe it off with some lotion and tissue.

Lame though it may be, confidence is exactly it!! Look at the difference in the two girls. One has her shoulders hunched over and isn't standing proud and tall. She looks like she is afraid people are looking at her. The other is standing with her shoulders back, her back slightly arched and her hips out. She is saying, "Look at me."
