Please don't start a raging hate filled debate with me folks...but tongue piercings are not ladylike. I don't know about the dangers other than HepB and infection which I hear are commen. The impression of a tongue pierced is for girls really poor. It implies (deny it or not...I live in the real world of grown ups) that the girl is easy and draws attention to the mouth which was made to be beautiful and sensual in a negative way. If you love piercings, then it's your decision... Please consider what impression you want to give off. I'm a pretty cool mom and pretty liberal minded, but my very beautiful and ladylike, although hip and cool, daughters would not dream of giving off anything but a positive impression to people. It's always easy to take the thing out if you go for it and decide later you don't like it, but I always wonder about the food, spit, and whatever else we put into our mouths staying in the hole......gross!

yes its true, if its not done properly. not sure on the percentage.

what for? to look cool?...to look "in"?...my friends son had it done and nearly died cause the stupid person who did it got too close to some major nerve and it bled and bled and bled......
