'Gonna Fly Now (Theme From 'Rocky')' Sung by De Etta Little & Nelson Pigford is the ACTUAL theme song that Rocky trains to. Eye of The Tiger didn't appear until 'Rocky 3' and though became famous, was not Rocky's theme song but the theme song for Rocky 3's promotional tour.

The original Rocky theme is "Gonna Fly Now" written by Carol Connors and Ayn Robbins; orchestra conducted by Bill Conti and vocals from DeEtta Little.
