electric guitar amps?

what amp brands should i go for that's value for money? what's the difference with an 6" amp to a 8", is the sound louder and fuller? what guitar should i go for that plays music like avril lavinge or nickelback?

both have packages with guitars and amps along with accessories for inexpensive prices.
You can't go wrong with Gibson or Fender equipment .
